From Councilman Joe Santiago-Ward 14
Hello All-Buenos Dias
This year’s Latino Fest/Puerto Rican Parade has been scheduled for July 17, 18 & 19th. Julia de Burgos is seeking volunteers and sponsors for this year’s event and we need your help! If you could be so kind as to print out the attachments and present a packet to your organization we would greatly appreciate the support and assistance.
The 2009 Puerto Rican Parade and Latino Festival will be held on July 17, 18 & 19, 2009 at the Cleveland Municipal Lot. Once again, this celebration is a unique opportunity for your company and/or organization to promote awareness and the contribution of your brand in the Latino community of Northeast Ohio. Over 70,000 people of all cultural backgrounds attend the event to immerse themselves in our rich culture, exquisite food, and colorful traditions. Attached you will find a summary of our sponsorship levels. Without sponsorships we cannot put on such an event so please encourage your organizations to support the festival and Julia de Burgos.
For additional information on the operation and sponsoring of the Center please log on to our website at http://www.juliadeburgos.org or you may call Julia de Burgos with any questions at 216-961-2970 or my office 216-664-3706. Muchas Gracias, in advance for your support!
I have also attached the application for BOOTHS. The application and all information is available online at juliadeburgos.org.
I would also encourage participation in the Puerto Rican Parade which will be held on Sunday the 19th at 1:00 PM. Your organization may also choose to sponsor a float in the parade. Float cost is $3,000 organizations must supply us with two banners from their prospective organization to display on each side of the float. The $3,000 covers all cost to include truck and trailer rental, material to make and decorate float.
Again Muchas Gracias!
