Message from the Red Cross Cleveland Chapter
We have updated the Chapter website to include information about the American Red Cross response to the earthquake which hit Chile this past weekend, including how to donate to the relief effort. Our website is: http://www.redcross-cleveland.org.
Today, the International Committee of the Red Cross launched its Family Links Website which is aimed at enabling persons in Chile and abroad to register the names of relatives with whom they wish to restore contact. People seeking news from their loved ones can register the names of sought persons directly on the site at: http://www.familylinks.icrc.org/chile/eng.
As always, inquiries concerning U.S. citizens abroad should be referred to the U.S Department of State, Office of Overseas Citizens Service at 1-888-407-4747.
Maria Pujana and her husband Hugo Urizar are in the process of gathering the names and contact information for local Chilean community leaders. I will then send them information about Red Cross relief efforts which is Maria's recommendation.
If anyone has any other thoughts or suggestions, please let me know. Thanks
Delmonico, Linda (DelmonicoL@redcross-cleveland.org)
